چکیده
Objective To determine whether ventral mesh rectopexy at the time of sacrocolpopexy reduces rate future posterior wall prolapse. Material and Methods This was a retrospective cohort study women with pelvic organ prolapse (POP) who underwent or without concomitant single community hospital from December 1, 2015 to June 30, 2019. Preoperative quantification (POP-Q) urodynamic testing used in evaluation POP. Patients were followed for 12-weeks postoperatively 12-week postoperative POP-Q assessment completed. The incidence new recurrent compared between cohorts. Results Women POP (n=150) recruited, whom 41 (27.3%) while remainder (n=109, 72.7%) did not receive rectopexy. Patient demographics statistically differ Post-surgical reduced robotic assisted (RASC) + group RASC alone, however this reach statistical significance. There no patients that needed surgery, eight-percent isolated procedures. Conclusion Our findings suggest reduction need subsequent surgery when is performed sacrocolpopexy. In our study, found group, small proportion only required surgery. however, underpowered elucidate significant difference groups. Future larger studies are confirm risk undergo

Response to laparoscopic ventral rectopexy for rectal prolapse and rectal intussusception using a biological mesh.
We read with interest the article by Albayati et al published recently.1 There is a sparsity of long term data in use of biological mesh in laparoscopy rectopexy for the treatment of rectal prolapse. We appreciate the efforts made by Albayati et al in this study and note the homogeneous population in terms of gender, age and BMI. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

OBJECTIVE This systematic review assesses the effectiveness of ventral rectopexy (VR) surgery for treatment of rectal prolapse (RP) and rectal intussusception (RI) in adults. Method MEDLINE, EMBASE, Scopus and other relevant databases were searched to identify studies. Randomized controlled trials or nonrandomized studies with more than 10 patients receiving ventral mesh rectopexy surgery were ...

OBJECTIVE To evaluate anatomic and sexual outcomes among patients with severe pelvic organ prolapse, defined as stage III or higher by Pelvic Organ Prolapse Quantification (POP-Q), who underwent modified laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy. METHODS Between March 2007 and December 2010, a prospective study in Beijing, China, enrolled 21 patients who underwent vaginal hysterectomy, followed by modified...
متن کاملSacrocolpopexy with rectopexy for pelvic floor prolapse improves bowel function and quality of life.
BACKGROUND Sacrocolpopexy with rectopexy is advocated for combined rectal and vaginal prolapse, but limited outcome data have been reported. OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to evaluate the indications and outcomes of sacrocolpopexy and rectopexy by comparing pre- and postoperative function and quality of life. DESIGN A retrospective review of prospectively collected data was perform...
